Well, I've tried to catch up and post the sessions all the way back in November I think and I just haven't been able to. So I decided rather than posting a bunch of each session, I'll just post one picture from each session and then I won't have to stress myself out. I am finishing up on the coffee table books and getting out orders that are coming in weekly.
Here are some of my sessions that have been neglected and by no means is it personal. I have been so anxious to get them up...and here are some favorites to share with you. More to come!

Newborn Session: baby Patrick--he wasn't wearing a diaper and I very easily could have been peed on-I was definitely in the danger zone. Family session: Garrett Girls-looking glamorous

High school senior: Jack in an old hen house I think that his grandpa build.
High School senior: Emily-She did good! It was freezing outside and I can't even tell by looking at this picture!
High School Senior: Andrew-rockin' it out
High School Senior: Ashley. session two, hanging out by the firework stand

High School Senior: Micah-looking so model-like

Enjoy!

Visiting with dear friends

Brooklyn and Zoe Max sharing his sucker with mom (Danica)
Zoe being a model
Sweet Leyton

Zoe and Max having a sucker sword fight. It was really funny b/c it was Zoe's idea to have the sucker sword fight, but when Zoe's sucker broke into tiny little pieces she began to cry.
Max being his happy little self
The lovely Brooklyn checking out what color to lick
Max driving the golf cart or as he says "go cot" (say this with an African clicking sound)

At the beginning of June Ben and I drove to the lovely Cloudcroft, NM to visit some of my dearest friends and their families. Danica, my best friend and "my sister" and her husband Greg, and their sweet little boy Max came home from Russia to visit with family and friends this summer. I haven't seen Danica since she we was pregnant with Max. It was a much need time with them. We also were lucky to see her sister, Maren, who is also one of my dearest friends and "sisters." Maren's husband, Blair, and their kids Brooklyn, Zoe, and Leyton were their too.
When I was in high school, they were in college and took me under their wing and treated me like a little sister. So from then on, they have pampered me and loved on me like sisters and I hold their friendship so near and dear to my heart.
We stayed at Danica and Maren's parents cabin in Cloudcroft and they fed us the most wonderful food.
I so wish we could have had longer, but I know there will be one day when we can all be back together with Ben and I joining in on the "chase the baby" game.

Strike a Pose

We drove out to Grady in Caitlin's big blue truck and first stopped off at Jadee's Bibbi's house. We walked into Bibbi's house and said our hellos to Jadee's grandparents and then the smell of something cooking took over my nose. Her Bibbi made us homemade fried okra, brisket, the creamiest mashed potatoes, buttery bread, and yumm-ee corn. Not to mention we had strawberries and whip cream on individual angel food cakes. I am still craving the fried okra!

After we filled our bellies up with grandma's sweet cooking, we headed out to look at the box car on Jadee's grandparents land. You have to crawl through barbed wire and step through dried cow paddies scattered on the ground to get to the box car. By first glance of the box car I knew this would definitely be one of our locations. The box car had awesome lighting, and was a really smelly inside.

The next location was an old school house with the outside walls still standing, but the interior floors had been rotted out. One room was set up as if Anthropologie came in and did a photo shoot. Random furniture was placed through out the room, and it was kind of a mystery as to how it got there. It wasn't there the last time Jadee walked through the old school.

This was such a fun and adventurous photo shoot for me. We found some amazing places and I had so much fun with my two sweet high school girls.

Thanks Jadee and Caitlin! You two look so grown up in these pictures.

Sweet Kristin

(this is what a 16-35mm wide angle lens does to your arms)

I got a sweet email from Kristin this morning and it just made my day. I hope she doesn't mind me sharing.

Like I have stated in other posts' I have my first wedding this weekend (Holly Glenn and Dennis Stockstill).

"Good Luck this weekend! You will do great! They are so lucky to have you to do this for them. Most of all, remember, that it is NOT about the "perfect" photo and what you think will impress other photogs...it's about the couple and those moments that are most precious to them. That's why I know you will do great! You have the heart for the job! Love, kristin"

If you know Kristin, then you know what a wonderful person she is. She is also the queen of information. That could be about photography or clothing or life in general. If you don't know her you need to visit her blog and see what she is all about. kristin's blog

She let me tag along at a wedding of hers, and the bride just so happened to be a church friend from the good 'ol days. Thanks to her and Lauren Clark for letting me tag along at their weddings so that I would be prepared for this weekend.

More Dallas Weekend

Meet Ashley-She owns Ribbons and Bows in Lubbock

Starting off our weekend we went to Jake's Old Fashioned Hamburgers. They were the best hamburgers I've had in a long time. I had a hickory burger with swiss cheese and it came on a poppyseed bun that was nice and fluffy. Oh and I had sweet potato fries too! Is your mouth watering?

Remind me to tell you about our stay in Hotel Zaza sometime. One of the most gorgeous hotels I've ever stayed at with damask printed curtains that were two stories tall in the foyer. Everything about that hotel was very elegant and sophisticated.

I haven't laughed like I did this past weekend in a long time and it was much needed. A girls got to have a break with her girlfriends every now and then and I'm so glad Tiffany invited me to join them on her bachelorette weekend.

This weekend was so much fun and relaxing. I didn't have to do my hair or makeup very much because Marsi is a hair stylist and she did my hair ocassionally, and Ashley (blonde) did my makeup. Ashley (brunette) and Tiffany are also equipped in the hair and makeup department. Tiffany works at Ribbons and Bows and does makeup and facials.

A few places you must visit when in the Dallas area:

Hotel Zaza

Jake's Old Fashioned Hamburgers

Cheesecake Factory-A Must!

Platiya-clothing store in West Village (really cute trendy clothes for a low price)

West Village (shopping square)

Bread Winners-restaurant

High School Friends

Last Sunday I headed to Tiffany's wedding shower (the cute one in the white and black polka-dot dress). You wouldn't believe all the stuff she got. She got something that I need to get too. It's a mixer bowl with a rubber outside so when you stir, it won't move around on you. Way cool right!
These are some of my friends that I went to school with way back when:
Tiffany and I met in jr. high. I've known her through many different hair styles and discovering her muscles in her arms. I totally think she got her dads muscles by the way. Her birthday was last Sunday as well. What a great way to celebrate-having a wedding shower on your birthday!
Betsy(Wynonna Rider look-a-like/petite) She and I went to elementary all the way to high school together. A memory I have of Betsy is in Mrs. Smither's class in 5th grad she dressed up as a boy for 50s day. I don't know why that is the memory that just popped in my head. Betsy do you remember taking care of the Iguana?
Ashley, cute blonde in back. She and I went to high school together and met in women's choir. She was a soprano and I was an alto. So the memory I have of Ashley...I'm sure you've guessed it already is one;she sings "one fine day" in this wierd accent (really funny), and then our camping trip to Palo Duro. Oh great memories.
Marci-well I actually don't know her. She is friends with Tiff and does hair at LIndsey's Salon on Glenna Goodacre and University. I'm excited to get to know her more when I go to Dallas for the bachelorette party.
Becca, another cute blonde in polka-dots. She and I met in jr. high, but I don't think we really started haning out until high school. We were also in choir together and also went on the Palo Duro camping trip. We woke up to turkey's gobbling. And we also have the same birthday-May 15th, which is coming up very soon!
Heather, the tall and beautiful. We met in high school and had English class together our jr year. Heather was very smart in our English class, and I was not so great. I took her engagement pictures almost 5 yrs ago when I was just starting out and I thought I knew what I was doing. I have really learned sooo much since then.
I had a blast with all you girls and I am so pumped for Dallas and hotel zaza
